About Us

My husband Terry is 44 years old, he's a father of 4.

Terry lost both kidneys 18yrs ago, I came very close to losing him but he pulled through.

He spent 2 years on hemodialysis. Then a miracle occurred and he received a kidney from the donor list. We were shocked when we got the call! It was offered to him because he had a perfect chromosome match to the kidney (Terry called it the kidney lotto).

That kidney lasted for 14 years but alas kidneys from deceased donors do not do as well as live donations. He was back on the donor list as of 2/2016 and back on hemodialysis as of 6/2016.

Like many others, he doesn't do well on dialysis, in fact it has caused so many compilations he's had to quit his job. Our biggest fear is the damage dialysis does to the body. Keep in mind that the average wait on the donor list is 5-7 years. We've seen others taken off the donor list because of the complications dialysis causes leaving them dependant on this machine for the reminder of their lives. We've also seen fellow dialysis patients die from these complications. I hope and pray that those reading this will help us find a donor for Terry.
